What is included with my rental/guided tour?
All rentals and tours include a high-quality stand up paddle board or kayak, paddle, life jacket, and a safety briefing before launch. Our guided tours also come with an experienced local guide to help you explore the best of Econfina Creek.
Do I need experience?
Not at all! Our experiences are designed for all skill levels—from beginners to experienced paddlers alike. Our guides will provide instructions to help you feel comfortable and confident on the water.
What should I bring on my Econfina Creek paddling excursion?
Sunscreen, water proof bag (for keys and phone), water bottle (we will have fill station before launch), a personal size 9”x 12” cooler for snacks, towels, hat, snorkel gear if you have.
What’s the difference between kayaking and paddle boarding?
Paddle boarding allows for a more immersive, full-body experience. letting you stand, sit, or kneel while gliding over Econfina’s pristine waters. It’s great for fitness, relaxation, and scenic views. Kayaking offers a seated, more traditional paddling experience, which some may prefer. At Eco-X, we specialize in stand-up paddle boarding but also offer kayaks as an option.
Is there an age limit for kids?
Kids 5 and up can ride in a kid-sized kayak or share a paddle board with an adult. Older kids and teens can paddle their own SUP or kayak, depending on comfort and ability. Kids under 5 must come with their own infant life jacket appropriate for their age and weight. Like this one. They may accompany adults on vessel upon their parents discretion.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety is our top priority! If the weather conditions make it unsafe to paddle, we will reschedule your booking upon availability in your schedule or provide a credit for a future adventure. Can I bring my own paddle board or kayak?
Yes! We offer 50% discount for locals that bring their own vessel and would like to join a guided tour. The price is $35 pp. To also utilize our shuttle service contact us for more details at 850-326-9116!
Are dogs allowed?
We love all dogs, but currently we only allow registered service dogs on our watercraft.
